Jim Shaw has been capturing emotions and special moments for clients since his college days. Starting first with a home-based enterprise and now in a stand alone boutique studio, he has provided exceptional service to clients with a wide variety of needs. Drawing on experience as a photojournalist, a biomedical photographer and a portraitist, Jim is one of the most well rounded photographers in the southeast. Today he is recognized as a specialist in weddings, portraiture and commercial photography. Events from large to intimate, formal to casual, scripted to free form are all covered with the same level of aplomb, enthusiasm and professionalism.

He continues to study each year under the mentoring of the finest photographic craftsmen to expand his technique, stretch his ability and challenge his imagination. His spacious, state-of-the-art studio provides a relaxing atmosphere and a personalize experience for folks he photographs.
